Know what to expect before you reach out.
I want payment information to be straightforward and available up front.
Frequently asked questions
What insurances do you take?
I currently work with Aetna, Cigna, and BlueCross BlueShield. Insurance participation can change, so if you have a different plan, feel free to reach out and ask.
How do you bill insurance?
For some insurance plans, billing is handled through third-party platforms such as Headway or Tava. I am contracted with the platform, and the platform handles the insurance claim and bills you directly for any copay, coinsurance, or other amount you owe.
What is EAP?
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a benefit some employers provide that may include a limited number of counseling sessions at no cost to you.
What EAPs do you currently accept?
I currently accept Lyra Health. EAP participation can change, so feel free to reach out if you have a different EAP and want to check.
What does “out-of-network” mean?
Out-of-network means I am not contracted directly with your insurance plan. Depending on your benefits, your plan may still reimburse part of the cost of therapy after you meet any applicable deductible or other requirements.
What is Thrizer?
Thrizer is a service that can help you check and use out-of-network benefits. At the bottom of this page, you can enter your insurance information to see what out-of-network benefits may be available to you.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
I do not currently offer sliding-scale appointments.
What if I can’t afford your rates?
Please feel free to reach out. I’m happy to check whether I currently accept your insurance or EAP. If I’m not a good financial fit, I can also try to point you toward trusted referral options that may accept your insurance or offer lower-cost or sliding-scale services.
